Practice, and keep your other grades up!. A good GPA is essential before you even think about applying to Julliard or Mannes!. I know people who have applied to Julliard and were not considered at all because their total GPA was not high enough!. Music was not enough to get them in!. They are tough schools and you will get in if you work very very hard!.

Audition!? at what school!? You are far too young to do a college level audition, and you are still learning the basics of music!. Talk to your instructor about your plans!. He will guide you!. He wants you to succeed too!.
Keep your aim high,Study music, practice as much as you are instructed too, get into community and your school bands!. Apply for music camps in the summer!. They are fun!. And if you do good you can be a camp counsellor when you are in your late teens!. Listen to your instructor!.
Good luck!.!.!. my husband is a trombonist!. He has a day job as an areo space engineer!. He has 6 trombones, including a soprano!.!. He also plays most of the lower brass instruments!. he has fun in swing band and sometimes plays with community bands!. Www@QuestionHome@Com
