How can I get all rosin off a bow?

Question: How can I get all rosin off a bow!?

Someone gave me new rosin to try!. But how do I get all the old rosin off of my bow!? I've been using the same brand for years; never had any reason to take it all off!. Www@QuestionHome@Com

actually,you can wash your bow!.!.!.with shampoo,for real!
unscrew the peg and take off the fog from the bow!. immerse the hair into warm water but be careful not to let any water touch all the wood parts!. then apply some shampoo onto the hair and give it and lather it up!.lol, just do what you do to your hair but do not scrub!. finally, rinse off the shampoo!. do NOT use conditioner, it will damamge the hair!. pat the hair and leave it to dry!. don't use a hairdryer,use a towel!.

Normally you would not!. The best thing is to just quit using the old rosin and let the new take over!.
However if you must!.
When teaching: Some students put weird things like wax on their bow hair!.
I found you can take the frog loose and dip the hair into dish washing water and soap!. use your fingers to work the dishwater into the hair!. Do this for 2 minutes!. Then rinse for another minute!.
Put the frog back in place and tighten the bow slightly!. Let it dry for a day!. In front of a fan will speed it up!.
Putting the fresh Rosin will take time!.

I used acetone on my bow after I accidentally spilled polish on it!. I unscrewed the hair and soaked it in the acetone for about three minutes!. I dried it off and it was like a new bow!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

You probably don't need to remove the old rosin!. Just start using the new one or continue to use the old brand if you are perfectly happy with it!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

Rubbing alcohol!. It will take off the rosin and the dark groady stuff at the frog!. Put some on a rag or tissue and clean it all off!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

Use water
Put a dab of water on a paper towel and wipe it on ur bow like its rosin!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

Rub it on your bow like it's rosin!.
