Question: How would you play an instrument with feeling!?
I have an audition coming up for violin!. I've been complimented on my playing alot saying that I express emotion when I play!. I know that my technique for violin is not the best!. I want to make my performance so unique and expressive!. When I play, I try to close my eyes and just follow the music!. How do you guys play your instrument with feeling!? Do you make up a story behind it and pretend that the song is a story!?

A lot of my music teachers have insited that making up stories really helps you feel the piece better!. Try experimenting with different dynamics!. Record yourself and decide what sounds and feels right!. Sometimes just a slight change of phrasing can totally change an idea!. good luck!Www@QuestionHome@Com
