Check eBay!. At this moment there is a Vintage Seth Thomas De Maelzel Metronome, in a wood case on auction that closes in about 18 hours!.!.!.current high bid is $24 and its $8 for shipping/insurance!.
It is exactly what you are looking for!.

You can't, really, unless you manage to track one down at a garage sale or something like that!. Digital ones ARE the cheap ones!. I bought my non-digital metronome about ten years ago for $35, and it was the least expensive one in the store!. Good luck!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
