Increasing trumpet range?

Question: Increasing trumpet range!?

i recently got braces and i suck at trumpet now!. i can't even hit notes above the staff; my highest note is high e which i can barely hit!.
school starts in less than a week, how the hell do i improve my range and tone that fast!?Www@QuestionHome@Com

Sorry to tell you this, but it's going to be a long gradual road to regain what the metal monstrosities have taken away!

all the tips i can give;
1!. get gards or wax and use it
2!. long tones just became your new best friend, spend a lot of time working on them
3!. lip slurs! on trumpet, on mouthpiece only, with lips only
4!. use as little mouthpiece pressure as possible
5!. be patient & dilligent
6!. work on increasing the amount of air you put through your horn (buzzing lips only helps alot in this area)
7!. a larger size mouthpiece may be more comfortable now, experiment with a 3C, or even a 1&1/2CWww@QuestionHome@Com
