It really depends on how much you're willing to spend, there's some great guitars out there!. But they can run you up to some fairly high prices!. It usually doesn't depend on the guitar though, it's the pick-ups!. Alot of great reviews are on Jacksons and Ibanez, and with 12 guage strings it work great!. I don't recomend BC RICH guitars at all, I've had several of these, the sound quailty is great for the first while but it eventually turns into a pile of sh*t!. The neck on them isn't very strong, Once you drop those guitars they break!. Anyways

For effect pedals I use a BOSS GT-8, It's a great pedal!. It runs about $600, but it has everything on it!. The front panel has, type, patch level, gain, bass, middle, treble, presence, and level knobs!. Type variation, channel, solo, speaker buttons!. Tons of overdrive and distortion features, this is a great pedal- I couldn't be happier with it!. It also has a really cool thing, where you can customize your favorite levels, it's pretty niffy!. I highly reccomend this!.
