Question: Why are people's musical expectations so low!?
It seems that anybody nowadays can pick up a guitar, throw 3 chords together, and become a smash hit, but people who spend their whole lives studying music create a beautiful instrumental piece and nobody bats an eyelid!. Is it just me, or is that messed up!?Www@QuestionHome@Com

No it's not just you!. It's the sad truth!.

It seems that if you know three chords, can 'sing' at least well enough that you don't do any harm to anyone and write a bunch of dull, meaningless lyrics applied into a quasi-song made of those three power-chords (so technically, just one), and sing about love and Jesus, you're a smash hit, politically and 'ideologically' correct!. Oh and you have to be HAWT!

What the **** is happening!?!?!? Who did this!?!? How dared they!?!?

I wish PMRC, Disney and all the retards burned in hell for the brainwash they cause!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

People avoid what they don't understand!. People like you and I have been blessed with extraordinary intelligence!. Unfortunately, this genius is also a curse because movies, music, and politicians are made for the masses!. It takes a lot of extra effort to seek out music that is aurally appealing!.

I am currently mesmerized by Rachmaninoff and Mendelssohn!. I wish they would make "Violin Hero" with all classical music, instead of this cookie-cutter grade-school level tripe posing as musical masterpieces!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

There is a lot of trash out there!.
It seems like that is all there is at times!.
There are great musicians making good livings!.
You will most likely be surprised, but more people attend Symphony Concerts than attend baseball games!. More Classically trained musicians are performing today than anytime in history!.

Its what the public has been spoonfed since the early to mid 90's!. if you show even a shimmer of talent, you're written off as a showoff of 80's reject band!. We've been so forced to be so politically correct and not offend people who have no talent, that talented people aren't allowed to shine!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

I am a guitar player for 13 yrs and studied music also and I agree
with you these day's musicians don't need talent to become big
it's really sad!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
