painting a guitar....?

Question: Staining/painting a guitar!.!.!.!.!?

i need to know if i can pull this off and make it look nice ok i want stain and or varnish my guitar so it looks like it has a nice wood grain finish but how do i do this i have a cort ferrari 3 and i think it mite be plywood or it mite be alder but anyways how can i do this!?!?!?Www@QuestionHome@Com

first, strip the guitar finish!. get lacquer thinner!. you can get at pepboys, osh, home depot, or any hardware store!. use it so the paint get go away!. then, sand the guitar so its smooth!. then, stain your guitar with any wood stain you want!. you might want to take apart your guitar just in case, or you can just cover it with something!. when thats done, you need to buy a clear gloss coating!. the spray ones are the best, but you need to really cover your guitar electronics if its an electric or just take it apart!.
if its an acoustic, i dont recommend it!. if you use the wrong finishes, the guitar will sounds dead!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
