Best Answer - Chosen by Asker: First off, the simple virtue of having the limb independence to be able to play Rock Band on expert indicates that you have the manual dexterity required to actually PLAY the drums!.!.!.!.however, having the innate sense of rhythm is another matter!. Since you can play on expert, you should find playing basic rhythms on a real kit reasonably easy!. Although, you'll have to learn the layout of a "real" drum set and learn the proper sticking techniques in order to play without either tiring yourself out or injuring yourself!. However, that being said, what you'll more than likely struggle with is the transition from playing "along with the band" in rock band to being the backbone of a rhythm section!. See, in real life, you don't have a visual aid scrolling down the screen to help you figure out when to stomp that kick drum!.!.!.and you don't have the song playing along softly in the background to help you if you lose your place!. You have to keep time on your own, with no help from any external aids!. Not only that, in real life, everyone in the band leans on you as the drummer to mark their time as well!. So, while you likely have the technical skill to PLAY the drums, what's hard to say is whether or not you have the innate rhythmic ability to mark time on your own, with no external help!.!.!.!.Www@QuestionHome@Com Most probably!? Very!. Although you sound like you have great hand eye co-ordination, it's still a computer game, and very different to the real things!. I've played Rock Band, and i've been drumming for a long time now!. Drumming is very different!. Rock Band, is a very light, and even on expert, easy version of drumming!. Don't expect to get a drum kit and be amazing instantly, but that's no reason to not learn!. It probably will be hard!. But go for it!. This world has too many guitarists, and not enough drummers!.
