Gibson Melody Maker Guitar

Question: Gibson Melody Maker Guitar

I heard melody makers were great guitars and I wanted to get one!. How will it be different from the cheap stratocaster I have right now!? How is the sound and feeling of the guitar different!? If you can't tell me that, could you tell me why melody makers are good guitars!?

The Melody Maker is a good guitar!. It has a nice feel to it and is comfortable!.
The Joan Jett model is a nice piece of work!.
If you have the Squire Strat it is not a very good guitar in my opinon!. Squires use to be a nice line of guitars but now it has become Fender's cheapo brand just a bit above the Starcaster line!.
