Best Answer - Chosen by Asker: It helps in the sense of having to use all of your fingers, and having to shift up and down!. However, just because you can play guitar hero on expert, it doesn't mean you can play a real guitar!. You still need to learn how to properly read the music, and learn all the chords!. also, on guitar hero, there are no strings!. On guitars, there are 6 different strings, and you usually have to have certain fingers on one string while having other fingers on another string!. I would say on a scale of 1-10 of how well guitar hero is similar to playing a real guitar, I would say 2!. Hope this helps =)Www@QuestionHome@Com No it does not!. Playing guitar hero and then trying to play an actual guitar will make your fingers move so slow!. also guitar strings require a lot of tension to create the sound where as with the game all you have to do is press a button!. also, a lot of the songs that you play on guitar hero (say expert level) are actually easier to play on a real guitar!.
