Question: How can I fix scratches and dents in my violin's finish!?
I recently bought a violin and I already have made little dings in the paint!. How can I fix or seal them!? also is their a way to protect my violin so it doesn't scratch as easily in the future!?

Thanks in advance!Www@QuestionHome@Com

This would be something better left to a professional luthier (string instrument builder/ repair person)!. As long as the dings don't affect the playability, I wouldn't worry about it; you're going to get a few more before it's all said and done!. Www@QuestionHome@Com

Well, it's not "paint," first of all; it's varnish!. And you should not do anything with it yourself!. You have to take it to a luthier and have them fix it!.

Protect your violin from further damage by not hitting it with anything!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

It depends on the quality of the instrument!. I wouldn′t dare try mixing up with the finishing laquer of the violin, I would take it to a speicialist, LUTIER , who is the right person to help you!.

the best thing to do is smash it on the floor - no violin= no scratchesWww@QuestionHome@Com
