Question: I am a young pianist without a piano to practice on!?

I have moved to central london (Soho)!. Is there some kind of communal shared piano I can access!?Www@QuestionHome@Com

Walk to Chappell music shop at 152-160 Wardour Street, Soho, or Selfriges on Oxford Street, near Marble Arch, they have loads of keyboards (some with headphones) that you can practice on for a while!.

also, just off Charring Cross Road, there is a little street called Denmark Street!. There are tonnes of music shops there!. They will let you play there for a while!. If it's not busy then it makes it look like the shop has custom!.

also, Please think about buying a keyboard to practice on!. At Chappell I recommend this as a starter!.

There is an excellent scheme called 'Take it Away' run by the Arts Council, who are trying to make music accessible to people who can't usually afford it!. With this instrument, it means you only pay ￡13 to take the keyboard home, and then ￡13 for the next 9 months!. It's all explained in the link below!.

There are plenty of music practise rooms about, but all for an hourly charge!.
If there's a church near you, you could ask in there about using their piano (because usually churches have pianos)!.
I'm not good on my London geography, but there's always the Royal Academy or Royal College which have plenty of pianos and so you could try asking there!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
