Question: Problem With My DigiTech RP200A!?
Hello, I need some help, and I couldn't find it anywhere on a Yahoo! or Google search, so I am asking it here!. I have a DigiTech RP200 effects pedal!. I have had it for about two and a half years now!. I used to use it all the time, but then I stopped using it when I realized my tone sounded like crap!. Anyway, I figured out how to get the tone to sound good on the thing, so I want to start using it again!. It has been a year since I stopped using it!. Anyway, I plugged it in like a month ago to find it working perfectly, but like one or two weeks ago, I plug it in to find that something has gone awry with my pedal! I plug it in, and it flashes "RP200A" and then "VER 1!.0", and then the name of the first effect appears, like usual, but when I play, no sound comes out!. I've checked to make sure that the input wasn't in the output, the amp is on and turned up, my guitar is turned up, and I don't know what's wrong!. If someone could tell me a list of possible solutions, that'd be great! Thanks!!Www@QuestionHome@Com

Hi Jeremy!. First off!.!.!.disconnect the RP and make sure both cables work when plugged in from guitar to amp!. If these are both in working order!.!.!. are you using the correct power supply!? Sometimes using an improper power supply will work for a time being!.!.!. then quits!. If it is the right power supply you are using!.!.!.!. could be it has become defective!. If theres room for batteries in this unit!.!. I would try installing fresh batteries and see what happens!. I know the 50,80, and 100 does take batteries, but these are also smaller processers than what you have!.

These are the only things I can think of that might be hindering this unit from working!. Unless its just plain old done! Thats one of the things ive always hated about the multi-effects processers!.!.!.!. EVERY effect is built into the same unit!.!.!.!. if something goes!.!. your left with nothing! Plus!.!. the factory presets are usually over the hill with to much processing!.!.!. tons of editing to be done to get a decent sound out of them!. Hope ya just start buying single effects!.!. less hassle!.!. and they sound WAY better!

Good Luck!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
