Best Answer - Chosen by Asker:
be in as many school plays and out of school productions as you can possibly bare, than go to college for musical theatre!. After you get a degree and have something to fall abck on if youre broadway career fails, go to as many auditions in new york as you can and try to get ensemble roles!. once you get a few of those, you might start getting understudy parts, then you might start getting lead parts!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

- Get as much experience onstage as possible while you're still at school - school, community, church, amateur productions!. Stage time is good!
- Take singing lessons
- Take dance lessons (basic ballet, jazz, tap)
- Take acting classes
- Go to a recognised college and do a degree in musical theatre once you finish school
- Get an agent (once you graduate) and start auditioning!

Most Broadway stars (and the chorus too) are genuine triple-threats - they act, sing and dance to an equally high standard!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

In High School, take theater and choir!. Do the best you can in both and get honest input from your teachers in each class!. You should also get private voice lessons outside of school because it's very hard to get vocal performance up to the right quality with just in school experience!. also, go for as many lead rolls/solos as you can get!. Keep trying out even if you don't get the first ones you try out for!. The more experience you have, the better you will become!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

It's like when a motoring tourist stopped someone on the sidewalk and said "How do I get to Carnegie Hall!?" The answer came quickly, "Practice, practice, practice!!!!"
Go for it!!
I agree with another of the answers that says be in as many school plays as you can!. There is no training that can take the place of experience!.
Good luck!!
I mean "Break a leg!!!!"Www@QuestionHome@Com
