It sounds like you don't have the ability to appreciate them!. I feel sorry for you, but you are entitled to your own opinion!. For me, they're a local band, and they have a very large following around here!. The music speaks to many of us in a way that you probably can't understand!.

That's okay, I probably wouldn't get the music you listen to!.

I compare the song "Hey Delilah" with "I'll Follow You Into the Dark", both of which came out around the same time!. On one hand you've got commercial drivel, on the other intelligent, well-written music!.

Now, as far as that clown who posted the following:

If you think paramore and red jumpsuit apparatus are quality bands, then your "taste" in music speaks for itself!.

And having even a million songs on your iPod doesn't make you an expert, it only means you are a rampant consumer or a rampant illegal downloader!.

I just had to point this out!. It gave me a pretty good chuckle to see someone justify their "expertise" by citing how many songs they have on their mp3 player!. heh heh heh!.!.!.!.

i actually don't listen to them often, but the songs i have heard are brilliant!.
they're songs are full of emotion and meaning!.
they aren't just like those mainstream bands out there (Paramore, Boys like girls, etc)
they're lyrics are deep, and i can relate to them, and they are true artists!.

but, everyone is entitled to their own opinon!. you think they suck, and i think that's great!.
i like them, and i think that's great!

it has a purpose!. when i listen to death cab for cutie, my mood changes!. they take my emotions and carry them away!. it's amazing!. if other artists out there could do the same, we'd live in an amazing world!. but sadly, "real" music in the world we live in is just simply someone being able to sing and write meaningless blobs of words!. and i totally agree with Saul!.
