If you're careful, you can clean the mouthpiece with water (just don't get it on the cork!) or if it's really bad, vinegar on a cloth then water!. A silver polishing cloth (from any music store) should get rid of the tarnish!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

HI PS!.

You may wash the piece you are describing - the mouthpiece - with warm water and a mild detergent!. You may also use a small toothbrush to remove the grime or residue!.!.!. but don't brush the cork!. Do this rather quickly!.!.!. in 5 minutes or less!.!.!. then dry completely including the cork perhaps with a hand towel!.

For the silver mechanisms!.!.!.!. you may use a soft cloth and a very very tiny bit of cream silver cleaner!. Apply just a drop or two and rub it in to the cloth with your finger!. Then begin to wipe over any of the tarnished areas!. Clean and polish as you go!.

For the inside!.!.!. you should let a technician clean that for you the first time!.!.!. then ask him his advice on how you can do it for yourself!.

Hope that helps!.
