Actually, if you move around a lot, it might be best to look into a good quality electronic piano!. When I was in college, I moved from the dorm rooms to various apartments, and when I changed schools and entered new music programs, I had to move to other states!. On a student budget, it would have been impossible for me to afford a piano mover each time, and dorm rooms and apartments wouldn't allow any "real" pianos because the landlord was afraid the neighbors would complain!. Electronic pianos have plugs for earphones, so the neighbors can't complain about the noise!. also electronic keyboards are now weighted (in touch and action) similarly to grand pianos, so it will not destroy your technique!. After finishing my Ph!.D!. in music, I now have a grand piano, but I still use my electronic piano to practice on when traveling!. It can be taken apart, put in the backseat of my car, and set up anywhere!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

I think if you want to buy a keyboard you should buy a digital one!.!.!.I have been playing piano for 3 years with a really good teacher!.!.!.She says it is better to buy a piano because you can use dynamics better and piano has more stuff than keyboards and has many many better things!.Yet a digital keyboard has other sounds you could use but if you should get a piano i would suggest an upright!.!.!.my teacher says an upright piano is really good because it is good priced and is much smaller than a grand piano!.!.!.uprights make better quality sounds than other types of pianos!.!.!.(:Www@QuestionHome@Com

definatley, if you can try to buy a real piano vs!. a digital one!. It doesn't have to be a grand it can be an upright of a studio!. I wouldn't recomend a console because they tend to go out of tune really quickley!.Some good makers are: Stienway, Boston, Seiler, Petrof, Mason and Hamlin!.
Try to stay away from chinese, japanese of korean brands nameley: yamaha, kawai, pearl river, rittmuler, suzuki, hyundai ect!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
