Forget what they say on this post!. That Casio keyboard is more than adequate and very good for the price!. They sold so many that, today, they can afford to lower the price and they are the pioneers in keyboard!.

I worked 17 years in wholesale music supplying these four top names, Casio, Yamaha, Korg and Roland!. All good keyboards but Casio was the least expensive!.

If you can afford an 88 key, go ahead!. You won't play any better and that extra octave on the 88 key is rarely used!. Thekeys on the one you want to buy are full size keys!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

Years ago!.!. Casio used to make some decent boards!. Anymore!.!. they are mainly making lower end equipment!. If I was to have a choice!.!.!. I would try to upgrade to this particualar keyboard!.!.!.!.!.click on the link underneath!. (If you can afford even more!.!.!. get 88 keys!.!. not 76 or 61)

Heres a few reasons why I would recomend the upgrade!.
First of all!.!.!. Yamaha is the maker of some VERY high end professional keyboards, and there quality is found in even there lower priced keys!.
Yamaha has one of the best Grand Piano sounds on the market!. The speakers are a bit bigger on this, and also has more output volume wise!. From my experience with Casio owners, the speakers usually start to sound pretty bad real quick!.

The lessons that are built in on this Yamaha are very very good, and have 3 grading systems!. You can also select the aftertouch of the keys on the Yamaha, which gets it a little more realistic to a real piano!.

also!.!. the Yamaha has a built in recorder, and you can create and write your own songs on it!.!.!.!.store it to the internal memory as well!. I currently own some very old Yamaha Synthisizers from the 1980's and they've held up real well, and still use them on stage quite often!.

Well, 76 notes is sure better than 61 - but it is STILL not 88!. If you are getting this to learn PIANO (as opposed to play in a rock band, etc!.) then I would advise the M-Audio 88 notes semi-weighted keyboard!. For under $400, you have the FULL spectrum of the keyboard!. It has not only as sustain, but a genuine sostenuto pedal (you'll need it when you are more advanced - plus it is cool in the meantime)!. It weighs under 17 pounds!. You will need an amp - or use headphones - since this has no onboard speakers!. The action can be adjusted!. It has 5 Ok piano and keyboard sounds!. We bought one because we carry a LOT of stuff on our chamber music gigs, and are no longer young people!. I love the sounds and capabilities of my other 2 Roland keyboards - but alas, they weigh a lot more!. And our Steinway grand does not fit in our van !. !.

You will need a better stand!. Those X stands are awful to sit at and develop good piano posture!. On Musicians Friend, there are some with four solid legs - much better!. I won one of those, too - not me personally, but got it for my school conducting job!. MF has good benches, too - those little black adjustable ones for $99 that look like they belong with a grand piano - I bought two!. Love them!. Get a fabric top, not pleather - your butt will thank you!.

I hope you get a good TEACHER - they are worth every penny of they are good!. A *poor* teacher is a waste of time and money!.

Good luck with this endeavor!. In all my years on the business, I have never heard anyone say they regretted learning the piano - and MANY say that they regretted NOT doing it, or not doing enough!Www@QuestionHome@Com

Probably can learn, but the keys might be smaller than those of actual pianos!. You should be careful about that because then it becomes harder to switch when you get on a full size keyboard!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

that seems great for a beginner!.
i used something just like that when i first began!.
but in time, make sure to get a 88!.
good luck with piano!Www@QuestionHome@Com

Well it should be fine for now, but some songs require the entire 88 key piano!. But for starters, it's perfect!.

no! it should be fine!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
