Question: What is a good guitar to start on!?
I have an old acoustic that I've started on, but fretting chords is killing my fingertips!. A friend told me an acoustic would be easier to fret because it has lower action than an acoustic and the neck is narrower, is this true!? I found a Squier Fender Bullet Strat that looked alright online (was about $99), I'm not sure if it's any good though!.
I'm looking to spend as little money on this as possible in case I never pick it up again, and preferably an electric!. Which ones are best to start off with!?

The best thing to do if you are a beginner and do not want to spend too much is go to a music store and find something that you feel comfortable with!. If you can take someone with you who knows a bit about guitars to stop the salesman brainwashing you!. It is difficult to recommend anything on line because each guitar, even the same models, are different!.

It depends also on what kind of music you want to play and if you are planning to buy another guitar in the future!.
For example, if you are interested in classical guitar, a Spanish acoustic guitar would be the best for it is easier to play, no pain in the fingertips, and you can learn to play a lot of different genres and rhythms with pick and your own fingers!.
If you want to play rock or derivatives with electric guitar, you can start with a Fender Strat!.
When buying a guitar be sure that the frets are in good shape as well as the whole body for it can affect the sound considerably!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
Squier is a good guitar as well as Epiphone SG model!. Both play well and both have an easy action!.
I don't know what you are going to do without the amp but I would wait and get the combo kit which includes, Guitar, amp, tuner and case!.

Alright, i think you should het a package from either fender, or ibanez!. Ibanez makes fenominal guitars and by a package i mean it comes with a amp, case, chord, and other stuff!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
