Well, those are both pretty nice, and I am a big Fender fan myself!. I would say you should go with the one on top, the one with the actual pictures of the guitar in the room!. Why!? 1) It has three Fender single-coil pickups, and the other one just has two humbuckers!. Granit, it does come with one single-coil seymour duncan, but it's not even installed, and it won't sound very much like a vintage stratocaster!. The one with the three pickups will sound like a Fender should!. 2) Normally I'm a maple neck fan, but with the color of sunburst that it is, I think the rosewood matches it way better!. 3) The amp should sound better, and heck, it even has an effects pedal! I say good deal man! haha, good luck and God Bless!Www@QuestionHome@Com I like the rosewood neck standard strat!. Rosewood is a faster neck than the Maple which is more for feel!. If the peavy amp is a Peavy Rage 158 then its a really decent solid state amp!. I'm a tube amp purist, but I have to admit the Rage 158 sounds pretty solid for practicing purposes!. The hardshell case itself is about a good 30-40 buck value used!. But seriously, with factory produced guitars like this, they're all going to play different!. I once sat in a room with 4 different Martin D-28's and they all felt just a bit different from one another!. The quality of the build of these guitars will vary some days they'll be crappy and need a lot of set up adjustment, other days, some mexican guy walked into the guitar factory and just said to himself, I'm going to really do a good job today, and you end up with rare gems on the cheap!.
