Best Answer - Chosen by Asker:
Tab has six lines and these lines indicate the strings on the guitar!.

e--------- (1st string)
B---------
G---------
D---------
A---------
E--------- (6th string)

When numbers are on a line, that number indicates what FRET you play on that one string!.

e------5--- (1st string, 5th fret)

When numbers are diagonal, you pick (or fingerpick) each note individually!.

e---3------
B------5---
G--------7-

If numbers are stacked on top of each other, that's a chord!.
Below is an Am!.

e-----0----
B-----1----
G-----2---
D-----2---
A-----0----
E-----x----

The "x" means you do not hit that string!. "0" means open string!.

When two numbers are placed on twi different strings, pick (use your pick and one of your fingers or if you're fingerpicking, just use your fingers for both) to play those notes at the same time!.

e----1---- (pluck using ring finger)
B--------
G--------
D--------
A----3---- (use pick)
E--------

Here are just some symbols used in tab:
h=hammer on
p=pull of
/=slide up
\=slide down
s=slide either up or down
v or ~=vibrato

I hope you understood my explanation!. :-)Www@QuestionHome@Com

The numbers indicate what fret to put your fingers on and the strings are all in order!.!.!. quite simple actually!.

P!.S!. if you're a mind freak then how come you can't even figure out how to understand tabliture!?Www@QuestionHome@Com
