Go to your local music store and pick out one that seems to be an extension of your personality!. Use an electronic tuner and tune the strings to standard 440 pitch e a d g b e !. Tune it several times, bend the strings , stand up holding it, sit down with it !. Strum each string to make sure theres not much "buzz"!. Theres only 12 notes on a guitar!. Try starting out reading tablature and then walk through the notes, learn your scales and there ya go!. Find the right teacher and you'll be playing music within 1 week!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

I can tell you the Ibanez AC30NT Art wood is fairly cheap and good for a beginner!. Along with the Yamaha FG700S, its a little cheaper than the ibanez usually but it doesn't sound quite as nice, but really it doesnt make a big difference even if your an intermediate player!. Pick up a Chord Poster from walmart, hang it up and Study it!. Especially since you wish to be an acoustic player, chords will be your backbone!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

I got a pegasus for my graduation!. I've learned a few songs since I got it and it seems to work great!.

and just a tip!. If you cant really afford lessons my mom got be a book from Wal-Mart with a CD that teaches you some at a time, and you can always go back for a refrence!. The only problem is you need to keep buying the books because they are like installments!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
