Get some music recording software (50-100 dollars) for your computer!. (Make sure your computer has a microphone!.)

Your singing I'm assuming, so record some of your singing, make about four tracks, I'd recommend 2 original tracks and 2 cover songs!.

Make lots of discs and send them off to your favorite radio stations, some recording studios, etc!. (Even your friends)
With your disc send a letter saying your trying to get noticed and ask for feedback!.

If they don't respond, stay positive they're likely very busy people, so don't give up and just keep on trying!

Hope I helped!. (Don't forget to practice!)Www@QuestionHome@Com

1!. Move to a big city and play out at as many different clubs and other venues as possible!.

2!. Record a video of yourself singing and playing and post it on YouTube!.

3!. Record a CD (you can rent a recording studio, or with the right software and equipment, you can do it at home now on your PC or Mac, you don't need a recording studio), have copies professionally made with professionally designed cover and liner notes and sell them on CDBaby or at your gigs (see point #1 above)!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

MYSPACE!

:D

I'm not even kidding, there are so many bands out there that score record deals for having a good myspace following!. Put some tracks up, work on the production [it's best to have someone experienced work on the songs; they'll know so many good trick to make them sound boss], give some catchy songs out on PureVolume, Last!.fm, email them, put on shows, etc!.

Basically, just put it out there! Make yourself known to locals, and you'll gain a hometown following!. After you have that, try a small tour!. Nothing huge, but enough for people to hear your sound!.

It's not gonna be easy, but it'll sure as Hell be fun ;]]Www@QuestionHome@Com
