A capo is a device that you put on the guitar neck, over the strings on a certain fret, to make the guitar sound higher!. It comes in metal (screw on and spring) and plastic!. You won't need a capo until you've come across songs you want to learn that require the use of a capo!. But it's good to buy one and have it on hand!. Just in case!.

Some guitar stands only hold acoustics or electrics!. Since you have an acoustic electric, you need a particular type of stand!. Your local music store will help you out with choosing!. Just say you have an acoustic electric guitar and they'll know right off the bat what kind of stand you need!.

As for a beginner amp!.!.!.a practice amp is best!. Test out different practice amps to find the one you want!. Listen to any crackling or buzzing, as this could indicate there's something wrong with it!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

A capo is a small utensil that you put on the guitar fret to make the key go higher!. It shouldn't cost more than 12 bucks, so go ahead and get one, as lots of popular songs require them!. For a guitar stand, you can just go to your local music store, and they'll hook you up with one for probably 15 bucks!. Ditto for the amp!.!.!.it'll be a little more expensive, but your music store employees are paid to know all about this stuff!.!.!.plus they're probably musicians themselves, so they'll be happy to give you a little tutorial!. Don't count out Craig's List as a great place to find some used gear!. You'll also need a cable to plug the guitar into the amp!. Much luck to you, friend!Www@QuestionHome@Com

As a beginner you can just get any dinky little capo and cheapo stand from your local music shop!. For a small practice amp, I love the VOX DA-5!. You can run it on batteries and play anywhere (or use the AC adapter), and it's got a ton of built-in digital effects and sounds as good as amps much higher in price!. The difference between it and other small practice amps that were priced just slightly lower was like night and day!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

well, if you're looking for a beginner's amp, I would look for a Line 6 Spider III, which is really easy to use and sounds great for its 100 dollar price tag at guitar center!.
As for the other question, a capo is a clip you attatch to the neck of your guitar that holds all the strings down at a particular fret!. you probably wont need one if you arent going to be playing any really advanced songs, but it wouldn't hurt to invest 15 bucks in a good one, just in case!.

You probably won't need a capo right away,
it makes the guitar neck playable higher up (not useful unless you're an advanced player)
It just shifts the key higher, but I'd suggest you be used to playing guitar normally before getting one/using one!.!.!.
Its going to throw your comfort zone for chords/riffs out of whack!. (because everything is moved up exactly 4 frets, or 5 frets!.!.!. or whatever)
As for stands
if you want one, EVERY music store will have one!.!.!. and they can be anywhere between 10-100 bucks

And little amps are cheap:

You get some NICE ones too!. Like Fender amps!.
Remember with that you also need a cable!.!.!. another 15-20 bucks or so depending on brand/length, you can get them in nearly any music store too!.

I'd recommend getting a 20 foot cable, because it never hurts to have some extra cord!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

Here's the capo i'd recommend bassed on 8 years of acoustic playing, and 6 years of using a capo!. Even if you don't know how to use it, someone can show you!. And it's nice to have with you, you never know when you'll need it!.!.!. like a condom!.

this is the stand i recommend!.!.!.
http://www!.ultimatesupport!.com/s!.nl/it!.A!.!.!.
it's what i use for my bass and acoustic!. it collapses way nicer than the one everone else is recommending!. and it looks bad ***!.

i can't recommend an amp!. i play my acoustic guitar out of my bass amp, which is a Fender Bassman 250 (15inch speaker w/ a horn, $500ish)!. i do recommend NOT buying an electric guitar amp for your acoustic-electric guitar!. it'll sound!.!.!. weird!. you won't get good lows!. you'll get a better sound out of a bass or keyboard amp!. try them out in music stores with your guitar, you'll see what i mean!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

You only need a capo if you can't sing in a regular key that the guitar produces without one!. Guitar stand, one that fits your guitar, simple!. Beginner amp, a Fender Frontman 15G (15W) is pretty good for practice and small gigs!. Higher wattage is required for bigger venues!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

well invest in a decent amp!.!.!.!.!.a guitar only sounds as good as its amp soo get at leatst 20 watt no smaller it would sound tinny!.
as for a stand try to avoid buying a real bogstandard bargin!.!.!.!.a stand is a stand but i brought one for literaly pennys and it was real fragile and broke!. just get a decent one nothing too fancy!.
hope this helped!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

A capo is a guitar clamp, you don't need one if you're a beginner because it involves tricky chords if you use it!. Just look for a guitar stand that won't fall over and is durable!. For amps, just a small tube amp would do good for an a/e guitar!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

A Capo is clamp that you use on the Guitar Neck to play in different chourds, I have a stand that folds up it is really handy!. I have a crate amp it is really good!. You could play your acoustic guitar through an amp or plug it in a pa system!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
