You should buy a lefty guitar despite the other responses!. Another good option is to learn to play righty since there's no reason not to!. Each hand has work to do and if anything the fretting hand does the more challenging work!. If you learn to play righty your fretting hand will be your dominant hand, a distinct advantage!.

You cannot restring an acoustic upside down without ruining it!. This is not true for a solid body electric but you will need to switch the nut and saddle!. Depending on the guitar you buy the cutaway will be on the wrong side as will the controls!.

It's really a terrible idea and since there are plenty of lefty guitars out there so there's no reason to do this!. Think again!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

You should have a technician do the stringing and adjust the neck and bridge settings accordingly!. A right-handed guitar will be set up to accommodate the heaviest gauge string in the position where your lightest gauge string will go, and vice versa!.

Otherwise, it should play just fine!. There are plenty of lefties who play right-hand instruments restrung!. Some crazies just turn the right-handed instrument upside down and play with the lightest string on top, but that takes some incredible retraining on your part!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

Sure, man!. Just change the nut to a left-handed nut!. You can do it yourself, or a good guitar repair shop shouldn't charge much -- 10 to 25 bucks!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

yes, you can
a lot of lefties do that
it will be basically the same
I believe Guitar Center has left handed guitars you can orderWww@QuestionHome@Com

Hendrix did that with his Fender!.

The tuning system would be different, but it is possible!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

Ya you could do it!. It wouldn't be completely the same but it'd work!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

It's not that simple just to change from right to left-handed!.
I'm a left-handed guitarist but play right-handed!. It's all the mind!.

Having said that, if you insist, you will also have to change the order of the little saddles on the bridge!. Some have a V-groove to match the size of the string and it is important that the string seats inside that groove!.

Secondly, no truss road adjustment needed !.

Thirdly, the knobs and volume will be on top!. Other than that, the guitar will still play!.

Word of advice, nowadays, you can get left-handed for cheap on e-bay!. Remeber that on a Fender Strat, the pickups are angled and will affect the sound!.
Not on Gibsons, nor on Jackson as they are set in straight!. The poles of the magnet are different!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
