Question: Best Ligature For a Tenor and Alto Sax!?
What is the best ligature ,around today and what model or manufature is it!?Www@QuestionHome@Com

Best Answer - Chosen by Asker:
There is no "best" ligature, it's totally player-dependent!. Everyone has different preferences; it will depend on your embouchere and your mouthpiece and what sort of sound you are after!. The only way to find what works best for you is to try several with the same mouthpiece, reed and instrument setup and see what you like best!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

Like said, there is no best ligature!. It all depends on the person and what works for them!. Personally, the best ligature I ever used was a Winslow ligature!. Great seal and it let the read vibrate a good amount!. You can get them, but they're rather expensive and the wait is long!. But like I said, what ever works for you, works for you!. But in the long run, while I do think the ligature is a crucial part in producing a sound on a saxophone, if you can't play well, a ligature won't solve any issues!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
