on my acoustic guitar, theres one thing that you attach your strap to but theres only one(its @ the bottom) i no one is supposed to be at the top but there isn't one!. does that mean my guitar isnt made for a strap!?Www@QuestionHome@Com

Best Answer - Chosen by Asker: No, actually a lot of acoustic guitars are this way!. You're meant to put a strap around the head!. You can either buy a special strap for it(you should be able to find one at a guitar shop) or just take a shoestring and tie it on the end of a regular strap!. There is also a product called the head hugger, which is a more solid thing, you clamp it on the head and attach the strap!. http://www!.freewebs!.com/head-hugger/Www@QuestionHome@Com Some acoustic guitars only have 1 strap button!. You have 2 options, you can get a piece of leather or something like that and attach the other end of the strap to the neck of the guitar just above the nut by tying it there, or you can go to your local guitar shop and ask them to put a strap button in the back of the neck where it joins the body!.Www@QuestionHome@Com tie strings to the head of your guitar to wire up the strap (avoid the tuning knobs) or go buy a knob!.!.!.you can screw one in wherever you want and they aren't that much to buy!.!.!.and obviously your guitar wasn't designed for a strap, but a strap isn't going to affect in anyway!.!.!.it's probably just a cheap guitarWww@QuestionHome@Com thats because you tie the other side to the headstock!. or you can get another strap attachment installed!. but on most acoustics you tie the top of the strap to the headstock and the other end goes on the strap button!.Www@QuestionHome@Com Well, the type of strap your using isn't necessarily the right type!. You have to buy one with one end like that, and the other a tie-on thing!.
