Many guitar makers produce very good "laminated-top" acoustics for under $250!. Anything over $250!. you should
expect a solid-top guitar!.
I have found good products from Washburn, Alvarez, Yamaha,
Takamine (Jasmine), that are well put-together at reasonable
prices!. I am only mentioned the ones that I have had personal
experience in playing!. I am sure there are others in that price
range that can meet playability standards!.
You should try several before you decide!. It is what feels good
to YOU that is important!.

As for your age, I wish I was 16 when I started!
It should not be difficult is you have the desire and discipline
to practice at least 30 minutes every day!.

You may be able to get a lot of benefit out of this little book:
HOW TO PLAY GUITAR by Roger Evans - cost $10!.95
sub-titled: Everything You Need To Know To Play the Guitar!.
Most book stores have it or they can order it for you!.

A good acoustic is Takamine!. This is a well made, beautiful sounding guitar!. The actionis very low and the maintenance is nil!.By that, I mean that once itis factory set, it stays set and in tune and hardly ever have to touch it!.

The guitar sells for $200-250 and has a good re-sale value if you ever need to upgrade!.

You can learn at 26!. Do you like the instrument!? Then get one and practice!. You can also get good info on youtube for different tricks on your playing!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

Fender Strat's are electrics, don't go for that!.

If you want a good, cheap acoustic go for a Yamaha Gig Maker Deluxe!. It's got a pretty good sound, and is about $200-$250!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

Hey man for $350 a Fender Standard stratocaster hits the spot!. Strats are pretty versatile and can suit most needs except for some heavy metal!. I don't think it would be to difficult, if anything it would help you keep focused on the instrument!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

umm acoustic i would go for a fender!.!.!.
there like 250-300 dollars!.!.!.and really comfortable to play!.!.

and for electrics!.!.i would say ibanez or ESPWww@QuestionHome@Com
