A lot of advise but nothing work like experience!.
Yes the path of less resistance is the 1st step (shaking the guitar
upsidedown works 50% of the time!. If this fail, go to 2nd option:
Loosen ALL the strings (no need to remove them) up to the point
where a child or adult with small hands can get into the sound hole and search or reach for the pick!.
This have worked all the time for me without any damage to the
guitar or the strings!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

The first person actually almost has it (string's to hard to direct, though!.)

First, shake the guitar upside down!. Even if the pick won't fall out, you can at least get it where you can see it!.

Get something sticky!. I use gum because I usually have it in my mouth at the time (when I'm practicing without singing!.), but if that grosses you out, you could use a wad of tape or poster putty!. Put it on the end of a pencil, navigate the pencil around the strings into the guitar, and pop it out!.

Good luck!Www@QuestionHome@Com

Actually they're quite right, you know!.

By all means, turn it upside down and do the Hokey Pokey!.!.!. but only if it's a classical or an acoustic, else you wouldn't wanna shake up the electronics inside!.

If it's a semiacoustic, electric or bass, you're better off wrapping a piece of sticky tape around a pencil and fishing the pick out (assuming you can see it, otherwise you might need to shake it a bit - GENTLY - until you do)!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

Don't take the strings off that's terrible advice!. First of all that's a waste of a set of strings!. Secondly you don't want to remove all the strings as the tension will be relieved from the neck!. If you're really desperate you could make some sort of tool!. But honestly it takes all of 15 seconds to flip it out!. Just turn it so you know the pick is on one end, then flip up and listen to the impact!. Keep trying to direct the pick up over the wooden 'walls' that are imprisoning your pick until it flips out!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

Happens to me all the time!. All you have to do is turn the guitar upside down (with the sound hole facing the floor) and gentle shake!. The pick should eventually come out!. I'm assuming this is an acoustic guitar!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

You've received a lot of good advice!. If it doesn't come out easy, and if it doesn't interfere with the performance of the guitar, leave it!. You now have a conversation piece!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

If everyone else's advice fails, youll have to take the strings off to get your hand in there to fish it out!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

Um, flip it over and shake!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
