Welcome, Tiffany Jo, to the wonderful world of LIVE PERFORMANCE!! This world that we love so much is completely random! Anything can happen, and it usually does!.!.!.when you least expect it to!

I am a musician, a singer, and sometimes I act as well!. In all my years on stage or in front of people, I have always "tried" to do the best that I can so that my audiences will be entertained!. But there are times when the craziest, dumbest things happen!.!.!.and all you can do is laugh, learn, and move on to the next performance!.

Here's something that happened to me, and it's similar to your yodelling story!.!.!. I was playing the saxophone and singing with a band a few years ago!. It was a pretty hot night and the room was really humid, so I got a big glass of soda to keep with me while I was performing!. I took a big gulp of soda in the middle of a song, but then I had to sing just a few measures later!. Well, I tell you what!.!.!.I started burping because of all the CO2 in the soda, and then I started laughing so hard I had tears coming down my face!! My bandmates thought I was insane, but then they started laughing and "burping" at me, and that just got me going all over again!

One other time I had all of my saxes set up and we were getting ready to start the first song in our set!. I picked up my alto sax, and got ready to play what is usually a really nice solo in the middle of this tune!. When I started playing, only a few notes came out sounding pretty!.!.!.the rest were a bunch of muffled honks and squeaks that sounded like cats fighting instead of a saxophone! Yup, that's right!.!.!.even after all my years of playing!.!.!.I forgot to take the drying rag out of the bell of my sax!

The point is this, my young friend!.!.!. All you can really do, especially if you love singing/acting on stage in front of people, is to take these times in stride, and to try to take a little lesson from them as they come!. Don't ever let those things beat you down!.!.!.they're all part of the mystique of live performance!. If anything, the next time you're singing and something unexpected happens!.!.!.and it most likely will :-) do your performance as if what you did was EXACTLY the way it was supposed to happen! Be strong and confident, and don't let the audience know that you did anything wrong!. More times than not, they will think that you meant to do it that way!.!.!.or they won't even realize that anything went wrong in the first place!.

Don't be afraid, Tiffany! You now have your very own, very first "Singing Horror Story" to share with your friends for the rest of your happy singing career! :-)

Keep with it!

Stage fright happens to everyone, the way to get over is to beat it, you can't let stage fright stop you from doing what you love!. You've got to use that nervous energy and just know that you're prepared and you can do this!.

At my voice recital last year, when I opened my mouth I couldn't get the sound out!. I had to stop the song and start over and I was completely mortified and didn't want to have to look at my teacher again!. But when it came time this year I knew I had something to prove, so I got out there and kicked some major butt =]!. My teacher told me stage fright is a good thing, it means you still care about what you're doing!. You just have to learn to use it!.

Next time you perform just take a deep breath, relax, and know that you control the song!. I hope it all works our for you, and don't worry about messing up, it happens to the best of us!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

Whoa!. Well, you screwed up once, but it doesn't matter at all!. think of it this way, you'll never try to yodel a long one in the same breath again! But as for other tryouts, come on! It doesnt matter whether you screwed up once or not!.
P!.S if it helps, you know that star of Princess diaries, Anne Hathaway!? She fell of the stage during her audition!. Got the part immediatly cuz the girl she was playing was SUPPOSED to be clumsy!.
one word!.
fate!.
happy acting! ^_^Www@QuestionHome@Com

Think of it this way you probably were more interesting screwing up than yodeling correctly!. The way you feel now is bad but that's as bad as your going to feel so give it a try again!. Every one who performs has had a bad experience on stage at some point!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
