Question: What is the best way to get hairs on violin bow replaced!? & How much would it cost!?
The hairs have become detached from my violin bow and need to be replaced!. It is not an especially expensive bow!. Is it easy to replace these myself, or how much do you think it would cost to get someone to do it!? Thanks!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

First off, one answerer stated that you should buy bow hair and do it yourself!. However, I don't recommend it -- I knew someone that attempted to do this and broke a bow worth about $800 dollars!.

Depending on how often you play, the bow should probably be re-haired every one to two years!. If you play more than two or three hours a day, possibly every six to nine months!.

If you're okay with average-quality bowhair, take it to an instrument shop!. It will cost between $20 and $60 in most stores, and can be a fairly quick process!.

Good luck =)Www@QuestionHome@Com

Buy them and install them yourself!. This is not expensive although there are different qualities and this depends on the quality of the bow as well!.

The price is roughly $5 and you have to ungle the top end of the bow, and reglue it in place!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

You have to go to a violin shop!.
it costs like $20- $30!. you should get it rehaired several times a year depending on how much you play!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

If you play in an orchestra then ask your teacher if not go to Music Doctors or some where its not that expensiveWww@QuestionHome@Com
