Question: Is it crazy to shoot for Juilliard, Boston, and NYU!?
I'll be a junior in high school this coming year and the Boston Conservatory has always been my dream college (for vocal performance, possibly with an opera focus) along with Tisch and Juilliard!. But I know it's insanely difficult to be accepted!. Does anyone have any advice or know what it will take to get into to a college like that!? much appreciatedWww@QuestionHome@Com

No, it's not crazy to set your sights on the top music conservatories!

First of all, it takes talent and good grades!. All academic institutions expect good academic performance records!.!.!. despite how talented one may be!. They want to know that you are capable of completing both academic and musical requirements towards your degree!.

Are you studying voice and piano privately!? Both of these are very important!. If you live near a college or university that offers private lessons, it would be a very good idea to study there!. Or, if you have someone in your community who has a music degree in voice/piano that's another option!. Do you play any other instruments!?

Best of luck to you!Www@QuestionHome@Com

I had two friends in Juilliard and they have one thing in common, a love for what they are doing, and a talent like no other!. Love and Passion for Art is far more important that knowledge!!Www@QuestionHome@Com

just be well prepared for your addition and feel confident!.!. When they see some one confident and dedicated they might feel like there could be a god future for you in your carere you want to have!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
