It's a good price, but I recommend you play it first!.
You know, it's funny- everybody RAVES about the C*!.!.!. personally, I CAN'T STAND IT! For me, it takes far too much air to get the tone I want, and it makes me work too hard to be consistant through the range of my horn!.

The best mouthpieces that you are going to find, are going to be the ones that you've tried in the store! It should play easily, be comfortable, and get you close to the sound that you are looking for!. Part of the fun about being a sax player is finding your "own" sound- that means finding a mouthpiece that works for YOU!.

I would never- NEVER- buy a mouthpiece off of the internet unless I played it in a store and found the same one for cheaper online!.

My best friend (a GREAT sax player!) uses an old mouthpiece he found on the bandroom floor back in high school!. Not a name brand, not "high profile" or popular!.!.!. but my friend swears by it! -It works for him!.

I use a no-name hard rubber mouthpiece that happened to be left behind in one of the bari sax cases in college!.!.!. I don't know where it came from, but it is the most amazing mouthpiece I have ever played on! I can WAIL on that thing!

Just go try some!.!.!. and remember- different facings will give you different sounds!. A wider facing is great for jazz, and a more narrow facing helps focus the air for a rich classical sound!.

You need to find the one that's right for you!.

Good Luck!Www@QuestionHome@Com
