i play guitar so i know!.!.!.!.

the numbers on the side indicate the strings
(6 being the fatest string/ 1 being the thinest)
then after that the numbers are what fret you put your fingers on!.!.!.ill give an example!.!.!.!.
if you know how to play an Em(E minor), and a Gmaj ( a normal g chord)

Hold your guitar upside down next to the tab!. The number is the fret, don't play a note marked x when you are looking at chords!. for the Fmaj7 play the third fret of the second lowest pitched string, hold the third fret of the third lowest pitched string, hold the second fret of the 3rd highest pitched string, hold the first fret of the second highest string, and just play those four notes, then you should be able to figure out the other two!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

1 is the bottom/high "E String"!.
2 is "B String"!.
3!. is "G String"
4!. is " D String"
5!. is "A String"!.
6!. is the top/low "E String"!.

x is a dead note (put your finger on the string but don't press down!. This completely mutes the string)!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
