Lots of factors can contribute to loss of voice!.!.!.

Are you stressed!? Are you getting enough sleep!? I learnt from my singer friends that the voice is one of the first things to go if you're sleep deprived!. These people are very religious about sleep for that reason!. When I was chronically skipping sleep to prepare for my final exams, one of the girls even threatened to not talk to me if I didn't sleep!.

I can't comment too much on the techniques of it all because I'm not a singer myself (I'm actually a composer)!.!.!. however I do hang out with the singers a lot, and I fell in love with one of the sopranos!.!.!. It didn't work out, but I learned a lot about voice through it all!.

If in doubt, rest!. I mean really rest!. Take a break from singing most importantly, and take a break from as much else as you can!. The girl whose heart I was trying to win had a nasty habit of coming down with a sore throat nearing exam day (BAD) because of overwork!. During that period, I fought hard to win her a few extra hours of sleep, doing her homework for her and picking up lozenges from the convenience store for her!.!.!.

Beware of 'liquids and tea'!. Sugary bottled or canned drinks are usually bad for your throat!. Coffee is bad too!. I'm not too sure if caffeine is the culprit, but if it is, tea is guilty by association!. Stick with water, or any honey-based drinks - one of the singers recommended this to me: honey and powdered cinnamon in warm water!. Yum!.

Hope I helped!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
