Question: Why is my dance teacher such a biznatch!?!?

did she have to point out my mistakes while she and i were standing onstage in a full auditorium and then move me to the back and replace me with a girl who has been to two classes!?Www@QuestionHome@Com

Believe me, I've been in your position! Kind of feels like you've been slapped doesn't it!
It all depends on how serious you are about dance, if you are, talk to her!. She may not like you as a person, or, there may be a problem with your dancing that needs serious work!. If it's just a hobby, try to ignore it and focus on enjoying the dance, or find another dance teacher!Www@QuestionHome@Com

Sounds like she could use some lessons herself, in tactfulness at the very least!. Please don't let this 1 person discourage you, however, don't feel the incident isn't worth reporting!.

Odds are if she does it to you, she has and will continue to do this to others!. Is there someone you can discuss this with in confidentiality who contributes to her annual review/assessment of how she's doing as an instructor!?

A person is never too young to contribute their 2 cents to improving our educators in any area!. Lord only knows how many students she may have discouraged but "you can't keep a great dancer down!."

she may have some deep subconcious reasons to be rude she also may have something going on her life that may cause her to act as she does!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
