Alright, as far as an amp, if your looking for a cheap 15 watt amp, the average practice amp, then youd DEFINITELY want the line 6 spider 3 15w ($100)!. dont be thinking about other amps at this point!. you can buy it at guitarcenter, I have played all the spiders to date and theres not one that has been bad!. its got clean(acoustic-like), metal, rock, and insane (SHREDDING) settings!. also i've made a list of good prices and brands for each price range, but there is an awesome site, rondomusic!.com, which offers great guitars for cheap, but i'd buy the AL-2000 ($200) from there if I was a begginer!. Heres my guide which doesn't apply to that website, because i made it very long ago!. also, feel free to explore other ALs on rondo but id stay away from the other guitars since your just beggining, you dont need the trouble of other series if you don't know whether theyre good enough!. Lastly, I hope your a punk mainstream rock or metal guitarist, cuz thats the guides aim!. Fender isn't that great for heavy rock in my opinion but gibson is though!. DO NOT BUY FROM TARGET OR ANYWHERE OF THE SORT!. Buy from guitarcenter if you can find one, but don't let them scare you into a purchase you know nothing about!. If it were me and I had $500 id get the best you can get without a floyd rose whammy, dish out 50 bucks more and get this gibson licensed, sg which can sound very diverse for every style !.http://www!.musiciansfriend!.com/product/E!.!.!. floyd roses are good whammy bars, they are awesome in fact, but very !.!.!. complicated

Way too many questions!.!.!. Start small!. You can get a decent start-up package deal from Guitar Center or online at Musicians Friend that includes a guitar and a small amp!. If you excell, then think of upgrading!. There's tons of different guitars, go try them out at a shop and see what suits you!. Amps, there's many differnt models, but there's really only 2 types: Solid State or Tube(valve)!. Solid State amps are cheaper, but Tube amps sound way better due to the natural harmonic distortion the tubes provide!. Read up on guitars and amps on the web!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
