Question: Are there any examples of musicians who have started out late maybe in teen years and have been succesful!?
I ask because i'm 14 and just started to play the violin
I'm extremely dedicated I play for 1-2 hours a day and when i'm not playing I think about playing
I take lessons and I plan on joining a youth orchestra at age 18 after they kick me out for being too old I want to try to become a soloist or get good enough to join a symphony do you think it's possible for me to do so!?do you have any examples of people like me!?

I'm not looking to become famou I just want to someday make a living out of what I love to do mostWww@QuestionHome@Com

I think you definitely have a chance of success!. You sound passionate!. My younger brother has a friend who started playing cello in junior high!. She has gone on to be a professional musician who even has gone on tour with Leonard Cohen!. She now lives in the states, belongs to a quartet and makes her living with her passion!.
If you have discovered your passion in life - go for it and you will find success!.
I started piano at 7 but it wasn't until I was about 14 that I started to realize I was good at it!. I started to enjoy the challenge and was set to start on Univ!. level instruction when my father decided he was wasting his money!. By this time I was taking lessons, theory and music history and maybe he thought my regular school work would suffer, I don't know!. I know I was upset but for some reason couldn't tell him how much my music had come to mean to me!.
I still play, years later but I do sometimes wonder what I could have accomplished had I continued!.
All the best to you, you sound like you are on the right track, do not become discouraged!. I see good things for you!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

Many many many!.!.!. Why not!? If you truly love it you'll find a way, and the older you get the more experience you'll have!. Really age has nothing to do with it, and everyone doesn't have to be an amazing child prodigy!. There's nothing stopping you! Go for it!Www@QuestionHome@Com
