Question: I want to become a guitar god!?
i have been playing guitar for 1 and a half to 2 years
i really want to become a great guitar player
my fingers are slow as hell when i play in front of people im paronoid i crumble in front of people and they say u that was crap but im good when they dont look in my face are step outside the room this guy i no also trys to rip me of and itslike a contest in whos the better player i love guitar and i want to be great what should i learn like hard scales and chords

well if you want to play faster, practice with a metronome, learn techniques like alternate, economy and sweep picking, listen and try to play stuff by guitarists like joe satriani, steve vai, eric johnson, yngwie malmsteen and john petrucci!.
Get all of your good friends to show up for your first few gigs, it'll give you a lot of confidence!. also practice recording the songs you practice, play them back and make note of your mistakes!.
Again, metronome practice is the only way youre going to achieve any increase in speed!. if you don't have one at home, you can download a free software metronome off the net, just google it!.

It sounds like whilst you may have some ability it is not a natural ability which is why you sound mechanical and contrived!.
To get faster you need to relax and have confidence in your ability!.
If you look at the great players they actually make it look easy because they have a natural ability!.
If you play well when you are by yourself ( thats a small audience to judge) then maybe you need to look at working toward some sort of studio guitarist!.

Nowhere in you mis-spelled rant did you mention a TEACHER!. You need to find the BEST teacher you can - not matter how far away or expensive!. If you are cheap and lazy - you will just have to settle for remaining a Guitar Slob instead of a Guitar God!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
