You should get yourself a vocal coach to make sure you're doing whats right for your voice!. They can also help you build a repetoire of songs!.

Depending on the type of music you like, perhaps you could get a group together and play gigs at local bars, if you're in Dublin it'll be quite easy to do, the New Theatre in temple bar often showcases work (a friend of mine is performing in a week or so)!. If you're in a smaller county try local student bars and build a base, if enough people like you, perhaps make up a CD and as someone else suggested, get yourself onto Youtube!

Good luck so!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

1!. Lessons
2!. Perform Locally
3!. Get good Management

Lessons, at all levels, (and of any style, classical, jazz or pop) will give you ideas, and techniques you can use to constantly improve your skill!. If you don't want to constantly get better, then this business is probably not for you, because for every successful act out there, there are thousands upon thousands of failures!. It takes a desire to be perfect!.!.!. Secondly it takes a local base of fans!. As a singer you can easily start by performing at all the local Karoke, maybe getting a band started is a good plan as well!. After getting a bit of a fan base you need management!. A good management company can set up gigs for you, and will know what you need to do to get the best opportunities, who to open for, where to sing, and what events will best showcase your style!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

For voice, find a teacher, and at least get a few lessons!. Voice teachers have the expertise to help you with all of that; that is what they are trained to do!. Ask for recommendations from him/her on who to listen to, etc!.

Joining a choir or an acting group helps as well, and if you can't afford lessons, it is a way to get started, and is also a way to gain exposure!. You might want to try muscial theater!. Beware of agents trying to make a cheap dollar who will never really get you a gig, or will cut and run!.

It's a good thing you are willing to work hard!. Sometimes, technique learning just sucks!. However: never let the passion leave your music, acting, or performing, but make sure the passion is properly focused!.

Good luck with everything, I hope you do well!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

You could try to get yourself an agent!.
You have to get exposure, act at local theatres, seek auditions, get a band together and get out there and try to book gigs!. The more exposure the more likely someone is going to 'discover' you!.!.!.It really isn't that easy by the way!.!.!.I hope you love singing that much!.!.!.!.
All the best!.!.!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
