Question: Stupid G!!!?
Ok, so, when i warm up to sing i normally reach G# or B above middle C!. But when i actually get to a song!. AKA Empty chairs at empty tables i can not reach it!. IT FRUSTRATES ME!
Is there a reason for that!?

It may be that at that moment you're being put on the spot (when you have to sing a song) and you're nerves get the best of you!. My director said that your muscles in your vocal chords contract if you're nervous when you're singing so that's most likely it (I'm 90% sure [ sorry i can't be 100% sure it's just that the opposite kind of happens with me, i can sing higher and lower in a song than in a warm up!. weird huh!?])!. Hope this helps!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

In addition to the nerves mentioned above, scales and warmups are a blinder to most young singers!. Make sure that when you warm up you use the vowel formations that you would use for those higher notes in the song!. It might be that you need to work on a specific form in order to let your higher notes ring out!. also, you are going through a tough time vocally and it will take time before you voice even STARTS to cement!. I am 24 and I am still waiting for some consistency!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

yes you get nervous which makes your throat muscles tighten up!.!. this changes the pitch you are singing!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
