Question: What violin should I get!?
I'm interested in learning how to play the violin, and I'm just wondering what type of violin should I get!.

Like what size, what brand, and stuff like that!.

I don't want anything super expensive like a thousand dollars!. My limit is 100 dollars!. And I don't care if it doesn't sound good, I'm just starting out!.

I play guitar and piano and flute, so I'm guessing it might not be as hard to learn the violin, cuz I have a trained ear!.

Thanks, Oh and if you have any other instruments other than violin that I may be interested in learning, I'd be pleased to hear them!.

Thanks again!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

I'm going to assume that you need a full size violin!. Violins don't really have brands, but are divided more from the countries they are made from like French, Italian, German!. (At least for the ones that cost a few thousand dollars)!. Seeing that your limit is 100 dollars you might want to just visit a local music store and see what they can offer you!. A violin that sounds good would help you like the instrument more since it is rather difficult to start with!.

You are also going to want to get something called a 'Kun' which is a shoulder rest that you place at the back bottom of your violin!. The music store should be able to help you out with that!. Rosin is necessary for the bow and a good cleaning cloth to wipe away the excess rosin on the bow and violin (after you play) is good just to help maintain your violin!. Those are just the basics that you will want as you start out!.

Good luck and it's definitely not an easy instrument to play, but hopefully you aren't one of those people who give up easily!. I'm sure you will love it! I've been playing for several years now and still enjoy it, though I've always wanted to play the cello!. Such an amazing instrument!. Have fun!!Www@QuestionHome@Com

well, if you're not a midget, get a full size, 4/4!. if you're not sure if you really want to stick with it, try renting one from for example a music store!. if it doesn't come with rosin, get the cheapest one!. if you really want to buy a violin, buy a cheap one from eBay!. if you're not ready for a 'kun' as some person suggested, try a sponge at a music store for just $3 instead of a kun for like $24!.

hint: when putting your violin away, loosen the bow until the hair touches the stick!. also remember to wipe off the rosin on the violin and violin strings with a soft rag (ex!. old cotton shirt)Www@QuestionHome@Com
