Question: My guitar is bobo!?
so basically, i have a begginer's acoustic guitar - one of those big ones that's just plain and that you can get for about $100!. and it's fender, by the way, if that has any significance!. everytime i play a chord, it just echoes so much!. the sounds just clash together and it sounds real ugly!. and i have to press down extra hard for the strings to ring!. i've played my friend's guitar and it's not like that at all!. also, i have pretty small hands!. so i have problems playing chords such as F!. overall, my guitar experience has not been all that great!. i think my guitar sucks!. i played my friend's and i didn't sound bad at all!.

1) is there any techniques yt reduce the echo sounnd, or is my guitar just like that!?

2) should i just buy a new and better guitar!?

3)how can i compensate for my small hands when i play 'involved' chords (such as F)!. even when i play the substitute for F i still have trouble!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

Many guitar players have small hands !. !. !. although it may pose a challenge, you should be able to do it!. Fender imports a variety of cheap guitars (probably from China)!. The problem of the cheap guitars is that they are too hard to play!. ADVICE; if you plan to play and stick with it, buy a new guitar, as expensive as you can possibly afford!. Look for brand names!. Buy American or Japanese !. !. !. if you are into classical, Spanish!. Fender makes good guitars but also IMPORTS some trash!. ALL guitar companies do this!. Just be careful!. About 500 and up, is when they become easier to play and have good tonal qualities!. Look for "SOLID SPRUCE" tops, or "CEDAR"!. Your fender is probably a laminate top!. Make sure the "ACTION" (distance from fret to strings) is comfortable!. All these are things to watch for!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

Try a new guitar that is a bit smaller!. They make plenty of smaller ones that are good quality!. The only way to get better is to keep practicing!. Don't give up!. Working with a pro would also help out!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

It sounds like the action on your guitar is high!. I would take it back to the dealer where it was purchased, and ask the to adjust the action!. (The space between the strings and the frets)

If the actions is to high it can be hard to play, and effect intonation!. The ring may in effect just be out of tune, based on string height!.

You did buy, one of the lowest priced guitars out there, if after checking with the local dealer on the action, you decide to buy a new guitar, ask the dealer to help you find one with low action!. Listen to them, and try them out!.

I also have small hand, and I'm afraid the only advice I can give you, is to practice, and practice the hard chords, this will help you hands learn to stretch, and things will become easier!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

I can't really help you with number one!.
Number two it's always nice to start out with something new and then you can make sure you are comfortable with it, but if you're headed to a guitar store why not just take the one you have now and see what they can do for it!?
Number three, I'm a bass player and my hands aren't tiny but they're FAR from huge and I do fine!. I just had to train my hands to stretch!. Maybe you need more time to get your hands to stretch properly!?
Either way I would say take it to someone who knows what they're doing because unless you post some good pics up here I don't think anyone here can really tel you whats wrong!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
