Question: What is the difference between theater and performing arts degrees!?
Best Answer - Chosen by Asker:
The degree itself has more to do with the individual majors, or programs offered within the institution!. Colleges are typically Arts and Sciences, while universities are comprised of three or more "schools"!. These might include Arts and Sciences, Music, Medicine, Business, Law, etc!.

Degrees in Fine Arts, Music or Music Education, etc!., are inclusive of not only the performing arts (musical instruments, voice, etc!.), but visual arts (writing/literature, painting, sculpting, furniture design, jewelry design, etc!.) as well!. A Theater Arts degree would be all-inclusive when it comes to acting, stagecraft and design, etc!.

A Performance Arts degree prepares you to be a performer!.!.!. no more!. This is why many people choose a school which will offer them a more well-rounded education, from which graduates can pursue a wider variety of careers!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
