I write all kinds of songs but I cannot sing or write music !.!.!. is there anyone out there who would like to pair up and put some songs to music !.!.!. for an example !.!.!. look at the last question I posted !.!.!. thats just one verse (or the course I am not sure yet) !.!.!. i would like to get some of them posted on youtubeWww@QuestionHome@Com
Best Answer - Chosen by Asker: I thi k it would be more rewarding if you learned how to play the music yourself!. A lot oh pop music cann be reduced to only four or five chords!.!.!. the I, IV, V, vi, and sometimes ii or iii!. Find a key your voice feels comfortable in and learn the chords in that key!. I seem to gravitate towards G major, so my chords would be G, C, D, and Em!. If I sang in the key of C major, my chords would be C, F, G, and Am!. If you learn those chords - G, Am, C, D, Em, and F on the guitar, then you can use them and a capo to transpose to any key - if you play in the key of C and capo and the second fret, you're in the key of D, for instance!. Since F is a tough chord, you might want to try a different key with your capo - the key of D is a good one, with D, G, A, and Bm!. Capo at third fret and play in the key of D and you've got the key of F!. Anyways, it's chords like this that make up songs like "Tears on my guitar", so if you want to write music like that, learning those chords would be a great starting place!. Almost all pop songs can be played with those four chords, so they're a good place to start!. Find an acoustic or electric guitar with thinner strings and a low action that feels good to play and go from there!. You can always upgrade the guitar, buy a better one, get thicker strings, etc as you progress, but if you find a guitar that feels good from the get go then you'll progress much faster than if you have a guitar with major high action that won't stay in key and sounds like poo (my personal experience with my first guitar)!.
