If the squeeks are a new problem, it is likely that you have a leaky pad!. have an instrument technician go over your instrument asap!. If the proble persists, it may be air support or embouchure, (every other squeek in a woodwind instrument is caused by lazy embouchures)!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

Tenor sax requires more air than alto - make sure you're pushing enough air through the instrument and that you're supporting the airflow well enough!. also, try to blow faster not harder - this can be a hard concept to get hold of but it will help!. As for the rattling sound, I'd suggest there's something loose on the sax which is rattling at a certain frequency - maybe take it in to the repair shop and get them to give it an overhaul which should stop the rattle!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

it might be your reed or it might be the sudden switch of instruments either way if your reed is old replace it and see if that helpsWww@QuestionHome@Com
