My parents forced me into band when I was your age- I went kicking and screaming all the way to rehearsal!.!.!. but I found that I loved it, and now that's what I do for a living! I am now a pro clarinet and bari sax player and I have 18 years of experience!.

Honestly, in the first couple weeks it can be very frustrating! There are a lot of keys (which can be overwhelming) and the embochure (the way your lips, tongue, and throat are positioned) can make your face hurt!

But after the first couple weeks, you will find that the keys are very natural, and you will start building the muscles in your face!.

It will get easier and easier, and I'm sure you'll have a lot of fun! My best memories are from band!.!.!. travelling around the world, performing with friends on stage, overnight lock-ins at school, and yes, even marching band!.!.!. tons of fun!

Just remember, like anything else (sports, video games, etc), the more you practice the better you get!.!.!. and the more fun it becomes!

Good luck!Www@QuestionHome@Com

hey

for a begginig instrument clarinet is definitely the best!. i asked the same question when i was in grade 5!. now i play clarinet and i love it!
however its one down side is that once you start getting better it is harder because you have to "go over the break"!. but its pretty easy once you get used to itWww@QuestionHome@Com

Well, at first every instrument is hard to learn but I think clarinet is the easiest to start on!. And if you don't like it, it will prepare you for another key system, like flute or sax!. I started on clarinet in sixth grade and moved on to the tenor sax and bassoon Freshmen year of high school!. Just remember every instrument is different and every one has their hard aspects!. And go for it!Www@QuestionHome@Com

it's very easy :)
it also opens up oppurtunites to play bass clarinet, saxophone for jazz, ect!.
make sure you progress slowly so you don't develop bad habits! for the first year, don't do anything unless instructed to do so! that's my best adviceWww@QuestionHome@Com

I used to play clarinet in since 6th grade not hard at all but later on I started to play the bass clarinet which I think is way cooler than the clarinet, the clarinet usually play most of the melodies in musical pieces good luck with your choiceWww@QuestionHome@Com

Clarinet is probably the easiest instrument to play!.
If you're gonna just begin it!.,!.!.!.use one inch reeds, they're easier to play on!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

Clarinet is a lot of fun!. It took clarinet lessons for six years!. I can remember in 7th grade when we won the interscholastic band contest!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
