Question: This guitar beginner is requesting assistance!.!.!.!?
Bought myself an electric tuner today (There are days when I really cannot be azzed to tune it manually or I don't have a low E source)

Anyway!.!.!. It works fine for the low E, A and D strings but it thinks the other 3 are low E!.

What's wrong!? Or is it my guitar!?Www@QuestionHome@Com

To tune your guitar always start with the strings with some slack in them and tune up to the notes your looking for!. You will avoid breaking your strings this way and perhaps loosing an eyeball!. I would guess that your tuner is not registering your top three strings because they are either WAY low or WAY high!. The cheaper the tuner, the less accurate they are!. You might want to change the batteries, low batteries will mess with the tuner also!. One more thing, make sure the volume on your guitar is all the way up so the tuner gets the full sound from it!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

Keep in mind that if the other strings are actually tuned to an e, that is all that will register!. Meanwhile, is this a manual or automatic tuner, if manual you will need to change the settings for the different strings!. If automatic, they often come with a guitar and bass setting!. Make sure it is in the guitar setting, as the bass setting runs through a different chip!. If this doesn't solve the problem, I would suggest returning the tuner, as the problem is likely in the tuner!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

I had the same problem!. just tune all the "low e" strings ALOT higher!. My guitar was that out of tune too!. until I got an elctric tuner!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
