Question: Question about guitar pedals!?
ok im looking for a pedal for my guitar (its basicly a stratocast copy) and was looking for something to get an metal sound and was considering the Death Metal pedal, im looking for something that will let me play an Pantera, Avenged Sevenfold, ect!. and I think that the Death metal pedal is going to be more of a death/heavy metal than what im trying to find!. So if this wasnt confusing enough what would be some recamendation!?, also im not pro at playing guitar so i dont need some high cost fancy pedal!.!.!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

Left -t and Saul gave you some really good suggestions!. I have all the pedals that they recommended and i agree they are nice!. I would stray away from anything too cheap as a lot of those super cheapo's don't have a true bypass on them!. that may not mean anything to you right now, but as you build your rig you will appreciate this!. why waste your money on something that you are going to use for a few months and then end up having to replace when you start to add on!?!? just a few things to remember is to first find the tone that you like through a clean channel, then add your distortion!.
also i would shy away from multi effect processors for right now!. the reason!?!? simply put for right now you are focusing on learning what sound "fits" your style of playing, although mullti's do offer several different types of "distortion" i would stick with learning a simple stomp box for now, this will allow you to begin to learn how little adjustments here and there really effect your tone!. I know you don't realize it yet but the smallest things can have a big impact on your sound, so at this stage i would stick to one simple rule KISS(keep it simple stupid) this will help with the learning curve!. also i would highly suggest a BBE Sonic Maximizer!. you can shop around and find one for a decent price, but this little stomp box is a must have for any rig!!Www@QuestionHome@Com

i suggest that you just turn the gain up all of the way if you are a begginner!. you don't need all the buttons!. the basics are confusing enough!.!.!. i suggest that you hold off!. when you are actually playing for others(concert)/in a band you should worry about tone and sound!. don't worry about it yet!. i got one as a gift and it is gathering dust!. i rarely, if ever use it!.!.!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

Big Muff = more classic rock/Smashing Pumpkins/Nirvana distortion, Muff Metal and Metal Zone = modern metal!.

Try one of those!.

Get the HM-2 Boss heavy metal!.!.!. It has a clean spunky heavy metal sound!.
Or if you want a cleaner distortion, get the DS-1 BossWww@QuestionHome@Com

find multi-effect pedal if you are on a cost-cutting and so you can try other genres of music and so you can be a versatile guitarist!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
